Your Tasks

We are developing digital solutions at Bikeleasing Group, which are used daily by thousands of users. To achieve this, we rely on modern technologies, clean architectures, and teams that take responsibility. In the midst of a significant technical transformation – modernization of legacy systems, building domain-oriented services, and professionalizing our engineering organization – we are looking for an experienced leader to take over our QA team and bring it to the next level. As Team Lead QA (gn), you will lead a team of 8 QA engineers, ensure existing quality standards, and develop them further. You will be the central lever for reliability, product quality, and stable releases and actively shape how we anchor quality in our entire engineering organization. • You will take over the disciplinary leadership of the QA team (currently 8 people), accompany your team in further development, and build a clear career path from junior to lead.
• You will define and develop the QA strategy for the entire engineering organization – including quality gates, definition-of-done standards, and quality KPIs.
• You will establish an overarching test automation platform (E2E, API, integration, UI) and be responsible for integrating it into our CI/CD pipelines with clear feedback loops and shift-left approaches.
• You will establish a sustainable operating model for the QA function vis-à-vis all product teams and work closely with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and DevOps.
• You will develop a QA and test automation roadmap as a first-class artifact with quarterly goals and measurable milestones – in alignment with engineering and product strategy.

Your Strengths

• You bring at least 3 years of experience in a lead or senior role with disciplinary or functional leadership responsibility in the QA field.
• You have deep hands-on experience in test automation (front-end, e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress; API, e.g., RestAssured, Karate) and are familiar with CI/CD integrations.
• Modern software architectures (microservices, event-driven, REST/GraphQL APIs) and the corresponding test strategies are familiar to you.
• You have already built and scaled QA teams (4+ people) – including recruiting, onboarding, and career development.
• You think in business impact: You can represent quality requirements clearly to engineering leadership and product and have a genuine builder mindset.
