For our PVC production site at Chemelot, we are looking for enthusiastic colleagues who want to help build a new chapter for the plant, together with around 700 colleagues in Belgian Limburg and Northern France.

Your Role
As a Team Operator, you work within the chemical industry in a 5-shift system. You are active in the entire factory installation and are part of a close-knit team where you perform varied tasks. You are broadly deployable and play an important role in ensuring the production process runs safely and efficiently.
You operate installations, machines, and equipment according to the applicable safety regulations and factory procedures. Your goal: a stable and safe production process and a final product (PVC) that meets the highest quality requirements.

Your Role
As a Team Operator, you work within the chemical industry in a 5-shift system. You are active in the entire factory installation and are part of a close-knit team where you perform varied tasks. You are broadly deployable and play an important role in ensuring the production process runs safely and efficiently.
You operate installations, machines, and equipment according to the applicable safety regulations and factory procedures. Your goal: a stable and safe production process and a final product (PVC) that meets the highest quality requirements.
- You monitor and inspect the production process, the installations, and the process parameters.
- You ensure that the PVC product meets the set specifications.
- You identify deviations and take action to prevent or resolve malfunctions, in consultation with the Shift Supervisor, measurement room operator, and colleagues.
- You take timely measures to prevent unsafe situations.
- You perform operational tasks when starting up, shutting down, and changing over process parts and equipment.
- You prepare maintenance work and ensure that installations are safely cleared.
- You act as fire and safety watch when necessary.
- You keep the workplace and installations clean and tidy.
- You guide internal and external parties during work in the factory.
- You work in an industrial environment with physical activities and varying conditions.
- You report to the Shift Supervisor.
Your Profile
- You have a completed Operator B or Operator C education.
- You possess a VCA Basis certificate, or are willing to obtain it in the short term.
- Ideally, you have several years of experience within a (chemical) production environment.
- Safety is your number one priority, both your own safety and that of others. You address colleagues and third parties about unsafe behavior.
- You take initiative, think ahead, and enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
- You are flexible and hands-on. You take on tasks broadly and enjoy getting your hands dirty.
