About The Role You will be responsible for managing a team of horticulturists, gardeners, sprayers, and other support staff. This role is critical in ensuring the high-quality maintenance and development of Nelson's open spaces. Key Responsibilities Include: • Managing a team of up to 15 people, including horticulturists, gardeners, sprayers, and administrative support staff. • Developing and implementing effective work plans, schedules, and budgets for the team. • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. • Providing guidance, training, and coaching to team members as needed. • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including Nelson City Council, community groups, and other external partners. • Identifying and addressing potential risks and opportunities in the open spaces. • Collaborating with other teams within Green by Nature to achieve shared goals and objectives. • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on team performance and progress.
