Team Leader, Software Development

Vention is seeking a passionate and talented team leader for software development to join our organization specializing in manufacturing automation platforms.

In this role, you will lead a global-class team of developers working on Vention's browser-based computer-aided design (CAD) tool, MachineBuilder. As the centerpiece of Vention's platform, MachineBuilder offers a 3D digital twin with drag-and-drop functionality that enables users to go from idea to final machine in just minutes.

As team leader, you will utilize and develop your technical and leadership skills: you will master all aspects of Vention's technology stack, guiding your team in planning and making technical decisions; you will interact with various stakeholders to discuss priorities, roadmaps, and execution; and you will mentor and guide your team in career development.

Specifically, you will be expected to:

• Supervise a team of 5-10 direct reports, helping them progress both technically and interpersonally.
• Organize your team's work: quarterly planning, agile sprint planning, facilitating ceremonies, code reviews and feature reviews, automated testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Contribute to all levels of Vention's full-stack development environment (JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
• Collaborate with product managers to define strategic roadmaps and priorities.
• Participate in designing the user experience and graphical interfaces.
• Maintain and improve MachineBuilder's design and architecture.
