Job description

The Quality Test Engineer is responsible for leading a team of technicians and engineers in the areas of testing, metrology, and guarantees, ensuring compliance with internal, regulatory, and international standards. Their function includes planning, executing, and documenting validation tests, calibrations, and internal/external audits, as well as managing personnel, resources, and equipment. Additionally, they manage Q/Z audits, coordinate investments and acquisitions of equipment, and ensure continuous improvement in testing and metrology processes, contributing directly to product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Activities

  • Led the team of technicians and engineers: task assignment, performance tracking, and professional development. (15%)
  • Managed personnel in Metrology and Guarantees: schedules, vacations, overtime, routes, and discipline. (10%)
  • Planned, executed, and documented validation tests (mechanical, electrical, and functional). (10%)
  • Manged internal and external audits: preparation, attendance, and follow-up on corrective actions and KPIs. (10%)
  • Ensured compliance with calibrations: 0 expired calibrations, uncertainty estimation, and documentation. (10%)
  • Coordinated annual testing plans Q/Z and followed up with international plants. (8%)
  • Manged resources and acquisitions: purchase orders, WBS, installation, and commissioning of new equipment. (8%)
  • Provided specialized technical support: calibrations, functional tests TL1, reflash, X-ray, and release of new gauges under GD&T. (7%)
  • Analyzed test results: interpreted trends, detected faults, and prepared technical reports. (5%)
  • Maintained documentation and traceability: protocols, results, and certifications. (5%)
  • Collaborated with design and quality: reviewed requirements, testing criteria, and preventive actions. (3%)
  • Taught technical training to technicians, auditors, and inspectors. (3%)
  • Participated in continuous improvement initiatives (BPS). (3%)
  • Maintained test equipment: inspections, calibrations, and reliability. (2%)
  • Participated in multifunctional reviews: presented findings and technical support. (1%)
