Team Lead Software Development Product (m/f/d)

As Team Lead Lead Development Product, you will take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of our lead development team in the product environment. Together with your team, you will ensure that technical requirements are systematically evaluated, designed, and translated into sustainable solutions for our ERP system APplus.
In your role, you will combine people leadership with technical and operational control. You will create transparency regarding ongoing topics, capacities, risks, and priorities, develop your team, and ensure clear working methods and quality standards.
A special focus lies on proximity to our product: You will keep technical consistency, adherence to standards, and reusability in mind and ensure that experiences and requirements from projects are meaningfully incorporated into the further development of APplus.

Your Tasks:

• Professional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of your lead development team
• Coaching of employees and conducting regular feedback and development discussions
• Planning, prioritizing, and controlling ongoing technical topics and team capacities
• Creating transparency regarding workload, risks, blockers, and priority conflicts
• Accompanying and evaluating technical concepts, risk analyses, effort estimations, and reviews
• Ensuring adherence to standards, technical consistency, and reusability in the design of solutions
• Early identification of escalation needs as well as making and preparing technical and organizational decisions
• Establishing clear working methods, handovers, and quality standards within the team
• Feeding back relevant insights and requirements from projects into product development
• Close collaboration with Software Development, Product Management, Consulting, Project Management, SLM, DevOps, and Update Engineering
• Accompanying changes and actively shaping our technical organization

• Several years of professional experience in software development, technical design, or a comparable technical environment
• Very good understanding of software development processes as well as technical design, effort estimation, risk analysis, and reviews
• Strong understanding of the development and further development of complex software products
• Leadership potential and motivation to take responsibility for people and a technical team
• Ability to provide direction, communicate clear feedback, and establish commitment
• Technical understanding with which you can soundly evaluate concepts, risks, and technical decisions
• Ability to structure diverse requirements, set priorities, and prepare decisions comprehensibly
• Structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Confident communication with technical and business stakeholders
• Very good German language skills and good business English

• First professional or disciplinary leadership experience, e.g., through mentoring, 1:1s, feedback sessions, or coordinating a technical team
• Experience in the development of ERP, enterprise, or other complex standard software solutions
• Experience at the interface between product development and customer-facing areas
• Understanding of customization and customer-specific software development
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, test environments, or working with DevOps
• Experience with release and update processes
• Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, or managing parallel technical initiatives
• Experience in the further development of development processes, roles, or quality standards
• Knowledge of APplus or comparable ERP systems
