Team Lead Software Development Customization (m/f/d)

As a Team Lead Lead Development Customization, you will take on the technical and disciplinary leadership of our lead development team with a focus on customer-specific customizations. Together with your team, you will ensure that complex technical customer requirements are systematically evaluated, designed, and reliably implemented.
In your role, you combine people leadership with technical and operational management. You will create transparency regarding ongoing topics, capacities, risks, and priorities, develop your team, and ensure clear ways of working and quality standards.
A special focus lies on complex customizations in the existing customer environment. You will support your team in evaluating individual requirements, interfaces, and technical risks and ensure close coordination with consulting, project management, and other involved departments.
Your Tasks:

• Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of your lead development team
• Coaching of employees as well as conducting regular feedback and development discussions
• Planning, prioritization, and management of ongoing customization topics and team capacities
• Creation of transparency regarding workload, risks, blockers, and priority conflicts
• Support and evaluation of technical concepts, risk analyses, effort estimations, and reviews
• Management of complex customer-specific requirements and technical pre-checks
• Support in the evaluation of interfaces, data migrations, and individual technical solutions
• Early identification of escalation needs as well as making and preparing technical and organizational decisions
• Establishment of clear ways of working, handovers, and quality standards within the team
• Close collaboration with Consulting, Project Management, SLM, Software Development, DevOps, and Update Engineering
• Constructive management of conflicting goals between customer requirements, technical quality, capacities, and delivery dates
• Accompanying changes and actively shaping our technical organization

• Several years of professional experience in software development, technical design, or a comparable technical environment
• Very good understanding of software development processes as well as technical design, effort estimation, risk analysis, and reviews
• Experience with complex technical or customer-specific requirements
• Leadership potential and motivation to take responsibility for people and a technical team
• Ability to provide orientation, deliver clear feedback, and establish commitment
• Technical understanding with which you can soundly evaluate complex concepts, dependencies, and risks
• Ability to structure different customer and stakeholder requirements and set meaningful priorities
• Structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Confident communication with technical and business stakeholders
• Very good German language skills as well as good business English

• Initial technical or disciplinary leadership experience, e.g., through mentoring, 1:1s, feedback sessions, or coordinating a technical team
• Experience with customer-specific software development and customized customer solutions
• Experience in the ERP or enterprise software environment
• Experience with interfaces, integrations, or data migrations
• Experience with technical requirements and customizations in the existing customer environment
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, test environments, or working with DevOps
• Experience with release and update processes
• Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, or managing parallel technical topics
• Experience in further developing development processes, roles, or quality standards
• Knowledge of APplus or comparable ERP systems
