Job description
About Us
Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: We want to specifically harness the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for everyone.
We achieved a first major milestone on this path as early as 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to significantly improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most well-researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.
We collaborate with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and psychological disorders. In short: We are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.
Today, we are among the fastest-growing healthcare companies worldwide. We reach our customers through various channels: direct communication with doctors and pharmacists, as well as print, TV, and digital marketing. To further expand our rapidly growing business in Europe, we are looking for outstanding talents to support us in this mission. Our goal is clearly defined: By 2028, we want to make Kijimea the world's largest DTC probiotic brand, thereby giving over 50 million people a better life annually.
Does this sound exciting to you? Then apply now! We look forward to getting to know you.
Your Mission With Us
Do you want to make a real difference in a dynamic, growing environment? Then become part of Kijimea – one of Europe's fastest-growing healthcare companies – as a Team Lead Operational Procurement (m/f/d)! You will lead the procurement team, optimize the global supply chain, and ensure that our products reliably reach people. With us, you will take on responsibility, actively shape processes, and contribute your ideas. Make your individual contribution to giving millions of people a longer and healthier life!
Your Responsibilities
As Team Lead for Operational Procurement (m/f/d), you and your team will ensure product availability. You will coordinate operational procurement and disposition with our contract manufacturers, as well as the flow of goods through the central warehouse, regional warehouses, and online fulfillment partners.
As a disciplinary superior (m/f/d), you will have full personnel responsibility, lead your dedicated team, and ensure that our products are procured in sufficient quantities and on time. You will analyze sales and demand data and continuously optimize ordering activities with contract manufacturers and upstream suppliers.
You will guarantee an effective supply chain in all countries and sales channels and always find the right solution for bottlenecks. Your task is to optimize supply chain processes regarding product availability, delivery times, safety stocks, and inventory reduction.
Your team will be intensely involved in product launches, which you will coordinate with project procurement and product management. You will also work closely with colleagues from e-commerce.
You will identify and implement potential for quality and cost reductions. You will also optimize central processes such as stocking, quality requirements, and monthly closing regarding the use of IT tools and calculation models.
Your Profile
A successfully completed degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain) and at least 2 years of experience in disciplinary team leadership form a solid foundation for mastering the challenges.
You are passionate about your topics and take full responsibility with great self-motivation. Hurdles and problems spur you on, and you enjoy finding pragmatic solutions. You enjoy working on many topics simultaneously while always maintaining an overview.
You have experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP B1 or SAP HANA, and are fluent in spoken and written German and English. Additional foreign language skills such as Spanish, Italian, or French are an advantage, as we operate in an international environment.
Our Promise
We implement things – and do it quickly! You can expect a top management board of high-class entrepreneurs, former consultants, and experienced industry giants. We offer you the environment in which you can develop personally and professionally in an unprecedented way.
