Job description

We are looking for a team lead to work together with the management of a European IT company in complex network projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Team Lead Network & Infrastructure Service (m/w/d) in NRW.

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating infrastructure projects in the field of network (LAN/WLAN). The role combines technical leadership of a technical team with the development of working standards, quality processes, and service provider structures in various European projects.

Tasks

  • You will lead and develop your team of external technical staff, with a comprehensive view of performance and quality, and conduct need-based training/coaching and development conversations.
  • You will analyze existing working methods and introduce clear structured processes and KPI-based tools to better monitor quality, time, costs, and route planning, and identify bottlenecks early on.
  • You will build a quality-oriented service network, define standards and SLAs for collaboration, and integrate this with internal processes.
  • If needed, you will accompany your team during deployments to coach employees, check quality and work safety, and provide support as required.

Qualification

  • You have a technical education or degree and possess comprehensive knowledge of modern network infrastructures.
  • You have several years of experience in leading technically operational teams in the field and know how to develop a team and introduce metrics to make success and quality measurable.
  • You have been active yourself in the field and have practical experience in installation and rollouts.
  • You have a structured, analytical working style and can rethink deployment and resource planning and support it with IT tools.
  • You are communicatively strong and do not shy away from making decisions.
  • You speak English and German fluently and are also willing to make occasional trips in Europe.
