Team Lead - Manufacturing Engineering Vehicle Integration & LC1

The rockets and satellites we build, and launch enable some of the most ambitious and vital space missions globally, supporting scientific exploration, Earth observation and missions to combat climate change, national security, and exciting new technology demonstration… THE ROLE We are looking for a Team Lead to join our Vehicle Integration & Launch Complex 1 (LC1) Manufacturing Engineering team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, ensuring that our launch vehicles are assembled and integrated efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing processes and procedures are followed and continuously improved. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for space exploration. WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO: * Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. * Oversee the assembly, integration, and testing of launch vehicles. * Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures. * Ensure that all manufacturing activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. * Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues. * Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimize vehicle designs for manufacturability. * Manage and track project schedules and budgets. * Continuously improve manufacturing processes and procedures. * Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability. * Support launch operations, including pre-launch activities, launch day activities, and post-launch analysis. YOU’LL BRING THIS: * Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry. * 2+ years of experience in a leadership role. * Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, integration, and testing. * Experience with lean manufacturing principles. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Experience with CAD software. * Experience with project management tools. * Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
