Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: We want to specifically leverage the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for everyone.

We achieved a first major milestone on this path as early as 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Your Mission With Us

Do you want to redefine the healthcare industry with us? Then you fit perfectly at Kijimea! As Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d), you will take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of our Accounting team and actively shape the financial infrastructure of a fast-growing brand. You will manage monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB (with a view to IFRS), resolve complex intercompany and VAT issues, and be operationally involved in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting. With your strategic perspective, you will drive process and IT optimizations, coordinate tax and audit matters, and thus sustainably shape our growth trajectory. Your Tasks

• As Team Lead Accounting, you will have the professional and disciplinary leadership of the Accounting team of SYNformulas and other, partly international, companies.

• You will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB or local GAAP.

• You will maintain an overview of the monthly closing process, especially intercompany reconciliations and VAT matters.

• You will work operationally in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting for multiple companies.

• You will act as an operational and professional point of contact for our tax advisors, auditors, and tax auditors. You will also coordinate tax issues and keep an eye on all tax matters of the companies.

• You will organize and support projects related to accounting and financial statements. The optimization of our processes and IT systems, as well as their integration with other group systems, will also be your responsibility.

Your Profile

• You have a degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting, financial statements, or similar, as well as professional further training, for example, as an International Accountant.

• You have several years of professional experience in accounting and sound knowledge of financial statements according to HGB; initial leadership experience is an advantage. Ideally, you bring relevant experience from one of the Big 4 auditing firms, a start-up/scale-up, a medium-sized company, or a comparably dynamic environment.

• You are proficient in using common MS Office programs and have already gained experience working with ERP systems and possibly Lucanet.

• You are characterized by an analytical and structured way of working and a hands-on mentality, you are a true team player, and you enjoy overseeing and optimizing complex processes.

• Fluent German and English skills complete your profile.
