Team Lead - Geotechnical Services

 Job Purpose:

 The Team Lead - Geotechnical Services will have a key role in the technical coordination of geological and geotechnical projects, ensuring the quality of solutions and technical documentation, as well as compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and standards in Romania.

The role involves advanced technical expertise, team coordination and development, and direct collaboration with clients, designers, authorities, and other partners involved in projects.

Main Responsibilities:

• Technical coordination of geotechnical activities and projects.
• Planning and coordination of geological and geotechnical field investigations.
• Analysis and interpretation of geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological data and determination of technical solutions.
• Coordination and verification of geotechnical studies, reports, and technical documentation.
• Evaluation of foundation conditions and geological and geotechnical risks.
• Ensuring the conformity of documentation with Romanian legislation and applicable technical regulations.
• Coordination and technical guidance of team members.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and participation in technical meetings with clients, designers, and authorities.
• Participation in the preparation of technical bids and estimation of investigation and resource needs.
• Development and guidance of the geotechnical team.
• Lives and promotes FRW values and culture.

Requirements:

• University degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Geological Engineering, Geotechnics, or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in applied geology, geotechnics, and/or geotechnical investigations.
• Solid experience in developing and coordinating geotechnical studies and technical documentation for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in technical project and/or team coordination.
• Very good knowledge and practical experience in applying Romanian legislation and technical regulations – mandatory.
• Category B driving license and availability for field travel.
• Very good coordination, organization, communication, and technical decision-making skills.
• Romanian language (advanced professional level, written and spoken) – mandatory; solid English language knowledge is an advantage.
