Team Lead Frontend Development (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

• You will take technical responsibility for the frontend architecture of the platform and develop it continuously with a focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• You will shape and drive the further development of our React-based frontend, including state management, server-side rendering with Node.js, and modern build and deployment toolchains.
• You will define, establish, and ensure engineering standards regarding code quality, testing, performance, accessibility, and security.
• You will make fundamental technical decisions and ensure close coordination with backend, platform, and product architecture teams.
• You will lead, coach, and develop a frontend team, including recruiting, onboarding, performance development, and individual career paths.
• You will create a trusting, performance-oriented engineering culture with a focus on feedback, learning, ownership, and craftsmanship quality.
• You will foster collaboration, pairing, knowledge exchange, and continuous improvement in the team.
• You will be the central point of contact for frontend topics vis-à-vis Product, Design, and Engineering Management.
• You will support the transition from functional teams to cross-functional, value-oriented team structures where this makes sense.
• You will be responsible for frontend delivery and ensure reliable planning, prioritization, quality, and implementation.
• You will work closely with Product Management and Design to translate professional and user-centered requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.
• You will ensure a sustainable balance between feature delivery, technical development, and debt reduction.

Your Profile

• At least 5 years of experience in developing robust, scalable, and performant web applications with React and in the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of React, common state management approaches (e.g., Redux or alternatives), and fundamental principles of modern frontend architecture.
• Experience with server-side rendering (e.g., with Node.js), modern build tools (Vite, Webpack, Rollup), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience in integrating advertising and advertising platform technologies, including ad serving, tracking implementations, and tag management.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers.
• First leadership experience in mentoring or coordinating other developers – either formally as a team lead or informally in a senior role.
• Outstanding ownership mindset: You take responsibility for results and impact, not just output.
• Very good English skills for working in an international team; German skills are a plus.
