Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: we want to specifically utilize the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for all people.

We already achieved a first major milestone on this path in 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most extensively researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We work with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and mental disorders. In short: we are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Your Mission With Us

Do you want to be responsible for the entire e-commerce business in one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies in Europe? Then you are exactly right with us! We are looking for a dedicated Team Lead E-Commerce (m/f/d) immediately, who will be responsible for the further development and international rollout of our online flagship store with our highly motivated e-commerce team. Drive Kijimea's growth trajectory – already one of the leading probiotic brands worldwide – forward with us in digital direct sales and help us make our vision of a healthier and longer life for millions of people a reality.

Your Tasks

• As Team Lead E-Commerce, you will report directly to the management.

• You will be globally responsible for our digital flagship stores and our direct-to-consumer sales of almost 100 million Euros.

• With your team, you will drive our geographical expansion and expand our digital flagship stores into further countries.

• Your team includes Country Managers, CRM specialists, Developers, Designers, and our Customer Support – as Team Lead, you will have personnel responsibility for approximately 15 employees.

• You will continuously develop our e-commerce presence and our CRM so that we get a step closer to our mission every day: Make Probiotics the Foundation for a longer and healthier life, for all.

• Your key KPIs are the conversion rate of our online stores, which you continuously increase through consistent A/B testing, and our revenues and costs from CRM activities such as email, WhatsApp, and print.

• You and your team will set standards in the areas of e-commerce and CRM, further expanding our position as a best-in-class player in these areas.

Your Profile

• You see yourself as a doer and are eager to help shape the next innovations in the pharma sector in an environment with fast decision-making opportunities – pharma or healthcare experience is not required.

• You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience and initial leadership experience in a dynamic environment, e.g., in strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity.

• You hold a completed university degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or natural sciences.

• Retail is Detail – you know that this is especially true for e-commerce. You won't rest until you've found the perfect solution.

• You have very good analytical skills combined with strong conceptual and entrepreneurial thinking.

• You possess strong drive and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility, and you can communicate complex issues concisely.

• A high affinity for numbers characterizes you, and you have advanced Excel skills.

• You are a true team player and possess a high degree of initiative and goal orientation.

• You are proficient in German and English (at least C1 level).
