Job description

About Us

Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: we want to specifically leverage the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for all people.

We achieved a first major milestone in 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most extensively researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We collaborate with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and psychological disorders. In short: we are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Today, we are among the fastest-growing healthcare companies worldwide. We reach our customers through various channels: direct communication with doctors and pharmacists, as well as print, TV, and digital marketing. To further expand our strongly growing business in Europe, we are looking for outstanding talents to support us in this mission. Our goal is clearly defined: by 2028, we want to make Kijimea the world's largest DTC probiotic brand, thereby giving over 50 million people a better life each year.

Does this sound exciting to you? Then apply now! We look forward to getting to know you.

Your Mission With Us

Do you want to be responsible for the strategic brand communication in one of Europe's fastest-growing healthcare companies? Then you've come to the right place! We are looking for a Team Lead Content Marketing (w/m/d) for our Content & Communications Team (6 people) starting immediately. Shape the brand presence of Kijimea – one of the world's leading probiotic brands – with us and develop content that truly convinces in the healthcare market: in text, image, and story. A highly motivated team, a challenging job with exciting tasks, and the opportunity to make our vision of a healthier and longer life a reality for millions of people through your personal contribution await you.

Your Tasks

  • You will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of our six-person Content & Communications team, including coordination, motivation, and development of the team.

  • You will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing texts tailored to target groups and media, such as health articles, advertorials, product stories, and product websites, as well as reviewing and, if necessary, scripting video content.

  • You will be responsible for the analytical derivation of optimization potential in existing text, audio, and image assets, e.g., based on drop-off points, hook and hold rates, and business key figures (e.g., ROAS).

  • In addition to coordination, you will take over the technical supervision of text and editorial planning and the development of target group-specific communication concepts in written, audio, and visual form for our brands.

  • You will be the primary point of contact for the relevant specialist departments, such as Brand Management or Legal, thereby ensuring continuous information flow.

  • You will continuously monitor our brand/media environment and proactively optimize our brand communication with a focus on text and image language.

  • Additionally, you will process and coordinate general press inquiries and topics.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree in humanities, communication sciences/journalism, or a comparable qualification.

  • You have several years of professional experience as a copywriter, in an editorial environment, or in the field of press and public relations.

  • Knowledge in the pharmaceutical sector (OTC or RX) and a high affinity for health topics are desirable, as is experience in personnel or team leadership.

  • Very good German language skills, both spoken and written (spelling, grammar, citation style), linguistic fluency, and a confident style are a matter of course for you.

  • You are an absolute team player with a quick grasp and creativity, who works independently, in a structured, and solution-oriented manner.

Our Promise

We implement things – and do so quickly! You will be part of a top management board of high-caliber entrepreneurs, former consultants, and experienced industry leaders. We offer you an environment in which you can develop personally and professionally in an unparalleled way.
