Job description

About Us

Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: We want to specifically harness the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for everyone.

We achieved a first major milestone in 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its effectiveness and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We work with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and mental disorders. In short: we are examining how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Today, we are among the fastest-growing healthcare companies worldwide. We reach our customers through various channels: through direct communication with doctors and pharmacists, as well as print, TV, and digital marketing. To further expand our strong growth in Europe, we are looking for outstanding talents to support us in this mission. Our goal is clearly defined: by 2028, we want to make Kijimea the world's largest DTC probiotic brand, thereby giving over 50 million people a better life each year.

Does this sound exciting to you? Then apply now! We look forward to getting to know you.

Your Mission With Us

Do you want to build and scale the E-commerce Marketplaces sector globally in one of Europe's fastest-growing healthcare companies? Do you have experience in growing a business on international marketplaces like Amazon, iHerb, bol.com, etc., and are you also enthusiastic about building the operational processes (payment flows, invoicing, logistics) for it? Then Kijimea is the right place for you. Make Kijimea the number 1 worldwide on all platforms with us and, through your work, give millions of people a longer and healthier life!

Your Tasks

  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our sales activities on international marketplaces such as Amazon, iHerb, Bol.com, Allegro, and others.

  • You will develop and implement the marketplace strategy, from marketplace selection to increasing revenue and margins.

  • You will lead, develop, and coordinate the Marketplace Team as well as external service providers in the areas of Marketplace Operations and Advertising.

  • You will establish and continuously optimize all relevant processes – from the creation and optimization of product listings, accounting processes, invoicing, payments, logistics handling, to inventory management.

  • You will take responsibility for Amazon Advertising and other marketplace advertising formats and optimize performance campaigns data-driven.

  • You will work very closely with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Business Intelligence, Logistics & Operations, Product Management, and Legal Department) and external stakeholders, be responsible for all marketplace-related processes, and ensure that interfaces function smoothly (where necessary). Where possible, you will rely on automation.

  • You will define KPIs to measure the success of specific measures and present them in dashboards and reports.

Your Profile

  • You have at least three years of experience in marketplace management (e.g., Amazon, Bol, Kaufland, Allegro) – ideally in an international context.

  • Alternatively, you have several years of professional experience in at least one of the following areas: Business Development, Consulting, Private Equity, Finance, Process Management, Restructuring, Business Intelligence, or a Full-Service E-commerce Agency.

  • You have leadership experience or leadership potential – and can present yourself convincingly both internally and externally.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of platform tools (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, Bol Plaza), PPC tools (e.g., Amazon Ads, Adference, Helium10, Sellersonar), finance tools (e.g., PayJoe, EasyBill, CountX); other tools from the marketplace environment are a plus.

  • You work analytically, structurally, meticulously, and process-oriented – and find pragmatic solutions even for complex requirements.

  • You enjoy taking responsibility, think entrepreneurially, and are characterized by initiative and assertiveness.

  • You have strong communication skills and know how to work with stakeholders from different departments at eye level.

  • You have native-level German and English language skills (C1 level); other foreign languages are a plus.

Our Promise

We make things happen – and quickly! You can expect a top management board of high-caliber entrepreneurs, former consultants, and experienced industry leaders. We offer you an environment in which you can develop personally and professionally in an unparalleled way.
