Team Lead Accounting (m/w/d)

Your Mission

We are looking for you as Team Lead Accounting (m/w/d) in our hybrid model at our headquarters in München or our capital office in Berlin.

As Team Lead Accounting (m/w/d), you will lead a 7-member team and be responsible for accounting and fiscal matters of our internationally operating group. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and shape topics such as Fast Close, IFRS conversion, internationalization, and the expansion of scalable accounting structures.

Your Mission

• Leadership & Team Ownership: You will lead the Accounting team and develop working methods, responsibilities, and competencies specifically further. You are close to daily business and take a leading role.
• Fast Close & Reporting Excellence: You are responsible for monthly closing of German GmbH and consolidated reporting on the 5th or 6th workday. Quality, speed, and reliability are not goals but standards for you.
• Group Accounting & Revaluation: You ensure that international companies (e.g., USA, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Netherlands) book correctly according to local GAAP and are revalued for the consolidated financial statements according to HGB and prospectively IFRS.
• IFRS Conversion: You will significantly contribute to the upcoming IFRS conversion - either in close cooperation with our external advisors or in a leading role defining policies, building processes, and implementing them.
• Internationalization & Transfer Pricing: You develop transfer prices further, manage intercompany services, and coordinate transfer pricing topics together with external experts.
• Compliance & Audit Readiness: You are the central point of contact for accounting, tax, and compliance questions and ensure that processes are documented, auditable, and future-proof.
• Systems, Processes & Automation: You are responsible for approximately 30,000 transactions per month with a clear focus on automation and scalability. Existing systems (DATEV, Moss, finway) and processes must be actively developed further.

Your Skillset

• Fundamental Education: You have completed a degree in economics with a focus on accounting or a comparable qualification, e.g., as an international accountant.
• Relevant Experience: You bring several years of experience in accounting, ideally from dynamic, growth-oriented environments, and have routine in consolidated reporting and working with international companies.
• Leadership with Drive: You have experience leading remote teams or a clear professional leadership role and combine leadership with a hands-on mentality. You think quickly, prioritize clearly, and set consistently.
• Accounting Excellence: HGB is settled for you, IFRS you know well or bring the motivation to actively shape the conversion. Fast Close, revaluations, and audit readiness belong to your professional claim.
• Digital & Process-Oriented: You work digitally, are confident in DATEV and adjacent tools, and enjoy automating processes, defining standards, and continuously improving them.
• Communication Strength: You communicate confidently in German and English and move easily in exchange with internal stakeholders as well as external partners. As a plus, you bring a healthy dose of humor.
