Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistants to support our wide network of partner schools across Dorchester and surrounding areas, including Weymouth, Portland, Wimborne and Bridport. We have a strong presence in the region, working closely with Primary, Secondary and SEN settings to offer a variety of opportunities suited to different skills and experience levels.

Whether you are seeking short-term, day-to-day, or longer-term roles, we can provide consistent work that fits around your availability.

The role:

• General classroom support across EYFS, KS1, KS2 (and KS3/KS4 if interested)
• 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs (SEN experience highly valued)
• Assisting with behaviour support, learning tasks and classroom routines
• Opportunities across a large number of local schools
• Short-term, ongoing and long-term positions available
• Flexibility to choose the days and locations that work for you
• Driving is ideal to access the wider range of schools we support

We are looking for someone who:

• Is adaptable, reliable and confident working in different school environments
• Has experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential)
• Enjoys working as part of a supportive school team
• Is open to both general TA roles and 1:1 support positions
• Is happy to travel around Dorchester and nearby towns for more opportunities
• Wants flexibility while still accessing pathways into long-term work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
