Teaching and Learning Administrator

Are you an experienced administrator looking to make a difference in a vibrant academic environment? We are looking for a Teaching and Learning Administrator (known internally as a Group Services Administrator) to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for teaching and course administration, supporting academic staff with from course set-up through assessment to student feedback and evaluation.
- Coordinate the collation and publication of curriculum information, course outlines, and timetabling details.
- Support academic staff and students with Learning Management Systems (LMS) access, course set-up, uploading of content, and final grade submissions.
- Coordinate assessment processes related to non-thesis research course components, tests, aegrotat applications, and the nomination of examiners and assessors.
- Support the ‘student voice’ by facilitating Staff-Student Consultative Committees.
- Assist with general administration, including meeting support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and deliver excellent customer service.
We have two positions available: a part-time and a full-time, up to 37.5 hours per week.
The salary range for this role is $56,400 - $71,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Essential:
- NCEA (min level 3) qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in an administrative role within a large and complex organisation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and strong technological literacy.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide sound advice.
Preferred:
- Tertiary qualification.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an educational institution.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and database-driven software
