Position: Teacher – Maths Lead Location: Bluebank School, Whittington Moor, Derbyshire, S41 8LQ Salary: Up to £48,000.00 per annum (not pro rata) Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Start: February 2026 UK applicants only. About the Role Bluebank School is seeking a dynamic Maths Subject Lead to drive excellence across our maths curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning for all students. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the maths department, developing and implementing effective maths strategies, and providing guidance and support to colleagues. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and managing the maths department, including staff development and performance management • Developing and implementing maths strategies that align with school policies and curriculum requirements • Providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students, including lesson planning and delivery • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective maths resources and assessments • Monitoring and evaluating student progress and achievement in maths, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote maths education and celebrate student achievements. The ideal candidate will have: • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience of teaching maths at secondary level • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to change.
