Job Description – Direct Tax (CA) Position: Direct Tax Manager Company: RK Group Industry: E-commerce Location: Bengaluru (Head Office) Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Experience: 4–5 years Role Overview The role is responsible for managing direct tax compliance, assessments, and advisory matters for RK Group’s e-commerce operations, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and supporting tax-efficient business decisions. Key Responsibilities Handle income tax compliance including filing of returns, payment of taxes, and maintenance of records; Manage and coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and tax authorities to ensure timely and accurate compliance with direct tax laws and regulations; Provide advisory services on direct tax matters to the management team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and statutory requirements; Collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate potential tax risks and optimize tax efficiency; Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including tax authorities, auditors, and industry peers; Stay updated with changes in direct tax laws, regulations, and judicial precedents, and apply this knowledge to provide strategic guidance to the organization. Requirements Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification; 4–5 years of experience in direct tax compliance, assessments, and advisory services; Strong understanding of Indian Income-tax Act, 1961, and other relevant tax laws and regulations; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
