Job description

A position of Tax Manager is for a multinational company in Rio de Janeiro.

About our client

Multinational company of great size.

Main responsibilities

* Perform in-depth legal analyses on tax issues, including interpretation of legislation, norms and applicable case law for corporate, commercial and contractual structures of the company;

* Provide recurring tax consulting to internal areas about fiscal impacts on daily operations;

* Identify potential fiscal risks, estimate financial impacts and propose risk mitigation measures;

* Review contracts from a tax perspective, ensuring legal compliance and fiscal efficiency;

* Identify and propose tax planning opportunities, considering the level of risk involved.

* Manage external law firms responsible for administrative and judicial tax litigation;

* Monitor and track fiscal processes, ensuring timely responses and strategic approaches;

* Act directly with public authorities, responding to notifications, autos and regulatory consultations;

* Represent the company in forums, meetings and discussions related to tax disputes, fiscal policies and regulatory updates.

* Lead multifunctional projects, contributing tax expertise to support business initiatives;

* Promote integration and synergy between different areas of the company;

* Prepare and present periodic reports to headquarters about regulatory changes, fiscal inspections, contingencies and litigation evolution;

* Maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company's fiscal objectives.

A successful Tax Manager should have:

* Higher education in Law and/or Accounting;

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax area, with proven track record in complex topics;

* Experience in corporate tax consulting, including contract review and structuring;

* Proven history in leadership and project management;

* Postgraduate degree in Tax Law and/or Finance/Accounting;

* Advanced or fluent English;

* Strategic, innovative and problem-solving thinking;

* Excellent communication, argumentation and influence skills;

* High adaptability, resilience and ability to work under pressure;

* Collaborative, proactive and strong sense of responsibility profile.
