Tax & Accounting Managers - CHCH or AKL

Job description

My client in both AKL and CHCH is a leading network of independent accounting and consulting firms, and they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax or BAS Manager to join their esteemed team.

As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the success of the growing organisation.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of compliance matters
  • Review and analyse complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and addressing their tax-related concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate their impact on clients' businesses.
  • Lead and manage engagements, including coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality services within established deadlines.
  • Identify planning opportunities and strategies to optimize clients' positions and minimize liabilities.
  • Conduct research and provide sound recommendations based on your findings to support clients' business decisions.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior tax professionals, fostering their professional growth and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide integrated services and comprehensive solutions to clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting in New Zealand
  • CA qualified, or working towards
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance and advisory services and/or tax, within a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department in New Zealand.
