An established accounting and advisory firm in Christchurch and in Auckland are looking for a skilled Senior Tax Accountant or Tax Manager to join their experienced team. This role is ideal for a tax professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering strategic tax solutions to a diverse range of clients.

The Role

You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality tax advice and compliance services. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Providing expert advice on tax strategies, including corporate tax, GST, and trust tax matters.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored tax solutions.
  • Assisting with tax planning and advisory projects, supporting clients in maximizing tax efficiency.
  • Mentoring junior team members and collaborating with senior accountants on complex cases.
About You
  • Miniomum of 2 years of tax experience in a New Zealand public practice accounting firm.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification, with solid technical tax knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • A high level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Motivation to stay current with tax legislation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
