Talent Acquisition Manager (all genders)

Full Time Lead

Job description

Mission

Integral was founded in October 2024 by Lukas Zörner and Anil Can Baykal and is among Germany's fastest-growing startups. We are building the leading AI-native platform for accounting, payroll, and taxes for European SMEs, starting with Germany. We are supported by General Catalyst, Cherry Ventures, Puzzle Ventures, and entrepreneurs from across Europe.

We are currently just over 50 people and are hiring in two very different markets. On one hand, tax advisors, certified accountants, and payroll accountants, who are sought nationwide and are recruited from permanent employment. On the other hand, AI Engineers, Product Builders, and GTM profiles to compete with the strongest companies in Berlin.

As a Talent Acquisition Manager, you will take on a portion of these roles and guide them from start to finish, from the intake with the team to the signed offer. You are the first hire in the Talent Team, meaning very little is set in stone, and therefore you can decide a lot yourself.

Your Responsibility

  • You are responsible for your own vacancies throughout the complete cycle: intake, sourcing, screening, interview loop, debrief, offer, and closing.

  • Active sourcing is a large part of the role. You will identify the profiles we are looking for, approach them directly, and convince them to make a move they hadn't previously considered. Research, longlists, and outreach are your domain.

  • On the inbound side, you are responsible for incoming applications, from reviewing to initial interviews to providing feedback. Most of the volume comes in the first few days after each job posting, and those who react quickly have the best conversations first.

  • You work closely with the Hiring Managers: sharpen the job profile together before the first screening, define evaluation criteria in advance, and moderate debriefs. Where an interview loop can be improved, you will suggest and implement changes.

  • You will define how we measure recruiting. You will help decide which metrics we need, collect them, and report them regularly. If a search isn't going well, you will notify us early and be able to explain why.

  • For your roles, our Ashby setup is yours, from pipeline management and templates to interview guides and reporting.

  • You will keep the process on the timeline we promise. We state under two weeks in our job ads, and candidates rely on that.

What we are not looking for

  • People who wait for a briefing before they start.

  • Those who see recruiting primarily as forwarding CVs.

  • Those who do not contradict the Hiring Manager when the job profile does not match the market.

Your Profile

You don't have to have all of these. The first three points are the most important.

  • You have recruited in-house through the complete cycle and brought candidates to closing yourself. If you come from an agency and have since moved in-house, that fits just as well.

  • Fluent German (C1+) and good English (B2+). Some of our candidates are exclusively German-speaking.

  • You source yourself and can show us in a conversation how you approach a difficult search: search logic, outreach, and what comes back.

  • You look at the numbers in your funnel and know where you have the biggest leverage.

  • You work routinely with AI tools and automate the recurring parts of your work with them.

  • You write well. An initial outreach that gets a response from someone who isn't actively looking, and rejections after which candidates contact us again later.

What makes you stand out

  • You have recruited across very different functions and switch between them quickly. With us, in the same week, there's a search in payroll, one in AI Engineering, and one in Sales, and all three require a different approach.

  • You have implemented Structured Hiring in a company that previously worked without it.

  • You have set up and maintained an ATS like Ashby or Greenhouse yourself.

  • Experience in a fast-growing company between Seed and Series B.

Process

We move fast. For the right person, the entire process takes less than two weeks.

  1. Virtual getting-to-know-you with us

  2. Virtual technical interview with our Chief of Staff

  3. Invitation to our office: Case study on a real open role of ours, plus getting to know the team and product

Our Offer

  • Above-average salary

  • First hire in the Talent Team, with corresponding influence on how we hire in the future

  • Direct line to the founders: no filter, no waiting queue, no committee

  • The best AI tools: Claude Max, Cursor, OpenAI, whatever appears next week

  • 28 vacation days per year, plus half days on December 24th and 31st

  • Urban Sports Club membership, employee benefits with over 200 partners, or Germany Ticket, your choice

  • Modern equipment including MacBook

  • Company pension scheme (bAV)

  • Modern office in the heart of Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, right next to Mauerpark

  • Weekly team lunches, office BBQs, and a dinner budget for late evenings after 8 PM

  • A team of 50+ (and growing) ambitious, diverse people, 20%+ ex-founders, who learn and build together

Even if you don't tick every box, but the role and the environment appeal to you: apply. We value diversity and hire people based on their ability to perform a task. People of any origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, political opinion, or marital status are welcome at Integral.
