Description Hire Resolve's Client is urgently seeking a talented and experienced TAF and E&S Manager to join their team, a leading pan-African investment bank. This full-time position will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and will involve significant travel. As a TAF and E&S Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the technical assistance facility ("TAF") and ensuring robust environmental and social (E&S) risk management across our investment portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective E&S strategies, conducting due diligence on potential investments, and providing expert advice to internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing effective E&S strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives; • Conducting thorough due diligence on potential investments to identify and mitigate E&S risks; • Providing expert advice to internal stakeholders, including investment teams, risk managers, and other relevant departments; • Collaborating with colleagues across the organization to ensure effective E&S risk management; • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the field of E&S risk management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental and social risks and opportunities, as well as experience working in the investment industry. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, sustainability, or a related field) is required, while an advanced degree (MSc or MBA) would be advantageous.
