System Engineer / System Administrator (m/w/d)

Job description

We are IT system house that has been supporting medium-sized companies in the Nuremberg metropolitan area since 1987 with personal and competent IT support. Our focus lies on high-performance IT infrastructure, secure system operation, virtualization, managed services, and IT security. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a system engineer who will accompany our customers with technical expertise, reliable implementation, and high-quality standards.

Tasks

  • Installation, configuration, and operation of Windows Client- and Server-Systems
  • Maintenance and development of virtualized Server environments based on VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Analysis and resolution of Hardware- and Software-issues in Client- and Server environments
  • Processing of 1st & 2nd-Level-Support-requests in the IT environments of our customers
  • Administration of IT-Security solutions (e.g. Endpoint, Firewall, WLAN infrastructure, E-Mail security)
  • Setup and maintenance of Backup- and Recovery-solutions (e.g. Veeam)
  • Coordination with customers, manufacturers, and external service providers to implement technical solutions
  • Documentation of IT systems, infrastructures, and processes
  • Development and operation of our Managed-Service-Platforms for monitoring, patch management, and automation
  • Maintenance and development of our internal IT infrastructure

Qualification

  • Completed training in the IT sector, e.g. Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration, or comparable qualification
  • Experience in operating Windows-Server- and Client-environments
  • Knowledge in Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V) and the field of Networks and IT-Security
  • Experience with Backup-solutions and Monitoring-systems is advantageous
  • Structured, self-responsible, and solution-oriented working style
  • Pleasure in working with customers, as well as excellent Service orientation
  • Good German language skills in writing and speaking
