Systems Engineer Infra & Energy

What you will do

As a Systems Engineer, you ensure that requirements, functions, designs, and the final realization logically align. You look beyond a single technical discipline and maintain the coherence of the complete system. You work according to Systems Engineering principles and use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Together with engineers, suppliers, and other parties, you ensure that interfaces are clear, risks are identified in time, and the system does what has been agreed upon.

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Translating customer wishes into requirements and system designs;
• Developing and managing functional and technical specifications;
• Setting up and managing system architectures according to the MBSE methodology;
• Ensuring traceability between requirements, functions, and design choices;
• Performing and managing functional analyses;
• Monitoring coherence and interfaces between software, hardware, and installations;
• Contributing to verification, validation, and system integration.

Who we are looking for

You are strong analytically and enjoy bringing structure to complex technical issues. You look at the complete system, work accurately, and find it important that technical choices are well documented and substantiated. Additionally, you have:

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Technical Computer Science, or equivalent;
• Experience with Systems Engineering or complex technical projects;
• Affinity with infrastructure, energy, or industrial installations;
• Experience in developing requirements and design documentation;
• Strong analytical skills and good communication skills;
• For this role, a good command of the Dutch language (minimum B2 level) is required, both spoken and written.

From Capelle aan den IJssel, the organization works on projects in infrastructure and energy, for clients such as Rijkswaterstaat and major contractors. Within the engineering team, you will collaborate with specialists in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Automation, as well as with Lead Engineers, project management, and international colleagues.
