Systems Accountant

The Company
My client is a very large NZ business that has continued to go from strength to strength acquiring businesses across its value chain that provides a comprehensive solution in the industrial space to its customers. The business has operations all over the country and as a result of the growth they are embarking on a ERP change.

The Role
As the Systems Accountant, you'll play a key role in bridging finance and IT, ensuring the integrity, functionality, and optimisation of financial systems. You'll be involved in ERP change, process improvements, data integrity checks, and supporting end-users across finance. You will be responsible for;

• Maintain and improve financial systems and reporting tools
• Support system upgrades, integrations, and testing (UAT)
• Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with vendors/IT teams
• Develop and document processes and training materials
• Assist with month-end reporting and data validation
• Partner with finance stakeholders to enhance system usage

Your Profile

• CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, TechnologyOne)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Able to work independently and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment
