System Administrator (w/m/d)

We are an official spin-off of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and our focus lies in the field of education and learning technologies. We are looking for reinforcement in the area of system administration.

This is a chance to grow with us, both in tasks and in topic areas.

Tasks

• Ensuring the secure, interruption-free operation of our servers and applications
• Installation/Migration, configuration, testing, and documentation
• Troubleshooting: analysis, classification, and problem-solving
• Conceptualization and further development of our infrastructure: testing, measures for quality assurance, performance tuning, access security, automation, ...
• Participation in projects

Qualification

Your Profile

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in computer science or comparable qualifications (this is also possible as a student with suitable skills)
• Fundamental knowledge of Linux, good knowledge in the area of network
• Analytical thinking and structured independent work
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topic areas
• Sense of responsibility
• Communication and team skills
• Good German and English language skills (at least C1)

Knowledge (Experience in the following topic areas is desirable)

• Web technologies and databases
• Storage and network technologies
• Network and IT security, firewall, VPN, PKI
• Backup, monitoring, logging, email/groupware
• Virtualization and containers
• Identity and access management, directory services
• Configuration management, continuous integration
• Scripting languages
