System Administrator (m/f/d) with focus on Network & Security

For an internationally oriented medium-sized company with around 1,800 employees at multiple locations, we are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator (m/f/d) with a focus on Network & Security.

Responsibilities

• Administration and further development of the network and security infrastructure at multiple locations from Böblingen
• Support and configuration of the firewall environment as well as further development of firewall rule sets
• Administration of LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, Routing, and Switching
• Participation in the planned further network segmentation
• Administration of the virtualized Windows Server environment, especially Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP
• Participation in the further development of IT Security and, prospectively, in topics related to OT Security
• Support and further development of Microsoft 365 as well as touchpoints with Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint
• Participation in exciting infrastructure projects, e.g., in the areas of Datacenter, Cloud, and System Migrations
• Taking over and independently managing smaller IT projects
• Occasional support in 1st-level support during vacation or illness

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or degree in IT or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT system administration / IT infrastructure
• Good knowledge in the area of networking, especially TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, Routing, and Switching
• Experience in the administration of firewalls, ideally Fortinet/FortiGate
• Good knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune is an advantage
• Hands-on mentality and enjoyment of taking on responsibility beyond one's own specialized area
• Very good German and good English skills
