Sounds interesting? Then we should get to know each other.
Our client is an established company from the regulated financial sector based in Cologne with correspondingly high requirements for IT security, data protection, and compliance. A small, experienced IT team without rigid hierarchies, short decision-making paths, and close collaboration with the company's various departments await you.
Responsibilities

- You will manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure / Entra ID, ensuring reliable system operation.

- You will support regulatory requirements, IT audits, and the implementation of DORA regulations.
- You will be responsible for managing and developing network, firewall, and VPN infrastructures.
- You will conduct vulnerability scans and risk analyses and document the resulting security measures.
- You will support users in 2nd and 3rd level support with complex technical questions.
- You will actively participate in IT security, infrastructure, patch, and change projects.
- You will create and maintain technical documentation as well as relevant IT and security evaluations.
- You will coordinate external IT service providers and manufacturers as needed and guide technical solution processes.
Qualifications
- You have completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or have a comparable IT qualification.
- You have several years of professional experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, and IT security.
- You have good practical knowledge of Fortinet FortiGate and FortiMail.
- You have experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
- You work confidently with CrowdStrike Falcon and have knowledge in vulnerability management, ideally with Mondoo.
- You ideally have experience from a regulated environment, for example, from the financial or insurance industry.
- You ideally have knowledge of CheckMK, SIEM/SOC solutions, Veeam, Hyper-V, Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, or Jira Service Management.
- You work analytically, structurally, and solution-oriented and take responsibility for your areas.
- You communicate confidently with colleagues, departments, and external contacts.
- You are interested in continuously developing your know-how in IT security, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.
- You ideally have certifications such as Fortinet NSE / FCA / FCP, CrowdStrike Falcon Administrator, Microsoft Certified Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
- You have proficient German language skills (C1 level).
Benefits
- You will take on a responsible position with a lot of independence and direct influence on the company's IT security.
- You will work in a small IT team with short decision-making paths and no pronounced hierarchies.
- You will benefit from a versatile role between system administration, IT security, support, and IT projects.
- You can continuously develop your professional skills through targeted training and further education.
- You will receive an employer-funded company pension.
- After onboarding, you will work in a hybrid model with approximately two home office days per week.
- Apart from training, there is no regular travel required.
- You can start the position as soon as possible.
- You will benefit from a salary structure close to collective agreements with 13.8 monthly salaries.
- Depending on experience and qualifications, you will receive an annual salary of up to €65,000 gross.
