If Linux is your professional home and you prefer developing new solutions rather than just keeping existing systems running, you can help shape an IT landscape here in the long term. ## Tasks As a **Linux System Administrator**, you will not only keep existing systems running but also jointly develop the company's future IT landscape with the team. * **Linux & Infrastructure:** Be responsible for and optimize the Linux system landscape as well as the associated network and IT infrastructure. * **Open Source:** Continuously develop existing systems and support migrations from standard software to suitable Open Source alternatives. * **Virtualization & Automation:** Work with technologies such as Proxmox, Docker, and vSphere and automate processes with Python and Ansible, for example. * **Cyber Security:** Further develop security and resilience and deal with technical requirements related to NIS 2, GDPR, CRA, and TISAX. * **AI Infrastructure:** Manage and expand the company's own Linux-based AI server and create a secure infrastructure for internal use of artificial intelligence. * **Technical Support:** Resolve complex internal IT issues for predominantly technically savvy users, focusing on the second and third support levels. ## Qualifications * Completed vocational training as an **IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker)**, IT System Administrator, a completed computer science degree, or a comparable qualification. * At least **two years of professional experience with a clear focus on Linux administration** after completing your training or studies. * **Very good Linux knowledge:** You already work routinely with Linux and do not need to be introduced to the operating system. * Solid understanding of **network technology, network protocols, and IT infrastructure**. * Experience with **virtualization or container technologies** such as Proxmox, Docker, or vSphere. * Knowledge in **automation**, for example with Python, Ansible, or comparable technologies. * Passion for **Open Source** and an interest in building an IT landscape based on open and secure solutions in the long term. * **Fluent German skills at at least C1 level** and fluent English skills. * Independent, pragmatic work style and a desire to actively shape technical decisions and try out new solutions together as a team. * Knowledge of **Nextcloud, Open Xchange, Nginx, pfSense, OpenVPN, Git, or Ceph** as well as experience with IT security are advantageous. ## Benefits * **Creative Freedom:** Actively decide how the internal IT will develop in the areas of Linux, Open Source, Cyber Security, Resilience, and Automation. * **Exciting Future Projects:** Work on Open Source migrations, the expansion of IT Security, and your own internal Linux-based AI server, among other things. * **Direct Collaboration:** Work closely with management and benefit from short decision-making processes and a lot of freedom in technical solutions. * **Salary:** Annual gross salary starting from **€60,000**, with a willingness for significant overpayment depending on qualifications and experience. * **Flexible Working:** Enjoy flexible working hours without fixed core hours and typically work **one day per week from home**.
