System Administrator Backup & Recovery (m/f/d) - Full-time | Remote | Munich

On behalf of our partner company in Munich, we are looking for you as a "System Administrator (m/f/d)" as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• As a System Administrator (m/f/d), you will administer and optimize the IBM Spectrum Protect environment on Windows and Linux servers
• You will manage backup and restore processes and ensure reliable processing of related requirements
• Furthermore, you will oversee platform and client migrations and support the operation of the backup infrastructure
• You will automate recurring processes with scripts and support the administration of the Veeam environment
• In addition, you will document and optimize existing processes and work closely with adjacent IT teams

Qualifications

• You have completed vocational training as an IT Specialist System Integration (m/f/d), IT System Electronics Technician (m/f/d), Information Electronics Technician (m/f/d), or have a degree in computer science
• You also bring several years of experience as a System Administrator (m/f/d), Backup Administrator (m/f/d), IT System Engineer (m/f/d), or Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
• Several years of practical experience with IBM Spectrum Protect (ISP/TSM), including platform migrations, as well as good Windows and Linux skills are required
• In addition, you have knowledge of Change Management and hold at least an ITIL Foundation certification v3, ideally v4
• A structured, independent way of working, as well as very good German and good English skills are important
