System- and Network Administrator in IT Service Company (m/w/d)

Aufgaben

• You handle complex 2nd-Level- and infrastructure-related support cases independently.
• You analyze and fix disturbances in customer environments and structure technical causes systematically.
• You support with network-, WLAN-, and firewall-related topics and take over standardizable tasks in the Service Operations area.
• You conduct technical pre-qualifications of incidents, lead sensible immediate measures, and decide independently within defined guidelines on further action.
• You escalate only where it is really necessary due to professional or risk-related reasons.
• You follow tickets consistently until a sustainable solution is achieved.
• You document technical matters clearly and comprehensibly and brings knowledge, solutions, and standards back into the support team.
• You work on standardizing processes, runbooks, and further stabilizing the IT operation with.

• Aruba Switches and Access Points
• Sophos Firewalls
• Network analysis and disturbance elimination
• VPN- and site connections
• DHCP-, DNS-, VLAN-, and routing-related questions
• Veeam Backup
• ESET Endpoint Security
• RMM-based operational and monitoring tasks
• Security-related standard topics in daily operations

Qualification

• Multiple years of practical experience in IT support, system administration, or a comparable IT operation environment
• Good knowledge in troubleshooting IT infrastructures
• Good knowledge in network topics, particularly in the areas of switching, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, and WLAN
• Fundamental to good experience in dealing with firewalls and rule sets
• Experience in structured work with tickets, priorities, and escalations
• A secure and professional appearance towards customers
• Clean and comprehensible documentation of technical matters
• Routine use of AI in daily work
• Ideal experience in IT system house-, MSP- or outsourcing environment
• Desirable is also a basic understanding of patch management, security gaps, and security-related business processes
• Advantageous are experiences with standardization, checklists, and runbooks, with monitoring and alerting processes or with PowerShell and automation
