System Safety Engineer (m/w/d)

Job description

We are looking for you as System Safety Engineer (m/w/d).

Tasks

  • As System Safety Engineer (m/w/d), you will steer and monitor the safety-technical development of complex systems throughout the project cycle – from the tender phase to customer acceptance.
  • You will coordinate technical discussions with internal departments and conduct safety analyses such as Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FMEDA, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • You will also be responsible for the safety-relevant interfaces between mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and software within complex systems.
  • You will define technical requirements, specifications, test plans, and acceptance criteria and review changes to safety-critical components.
  • In this role, you will moderate technical discussions, present project results to international customers, and ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.

Qualification

  • You hold a completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field.
  • You bring several years of experience in technical development projects or systems engineering.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of system safety and functional safety, for example, according to MIL-STD-882E, IEC 61508, or ISO 26262.
  • You are characterized by a strong technical understanding and the ability to prepare and present complex issues in a structured manner.
  • You convince with secure German language skills and very good English language skills.
