System Engineer (m/f/d)

We build IT infrastructure that simply runs for our customers, not environments that tremble with every update. This includes on-site servers and networks, our own cloud in German data centers, Microsoft 365, and increasingly AI servers running language models locally. No ticket assembly line, no endless coordination rounds. Clean concepts, fast implementation, and at the end of the day, it actually works.

Responsibilities

• You plan, build, and operate server and network environments for our customers and in our own cloud

• You operate our cloud platforms in German data centers, from provisioning to backup to monitoring

• You take care of firewalls, VPN, and networks so that everything communicates securely and cleanly

• You migrate customers to Microsoft 365 and set up the environments so they remain clean even in two years

• You centrally manage our customer environments, from patching and monitoring to endpoint security and backup

• You assemble servers and workstations, test them thoroughly, and deliver them to the customer

• You are the point of contact for our customers when something is not working, from a quick call to a tricky fault, and document solutions so that the next person can understand them

• You actively participate in defining standards, tooling, and our processes, and automate repetitive tasks

• You talk directly to customers when it comes to requirements, concepts, and solutions

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server, virtualization, and networks

• You feel comfortable in Microsoft 365

• Firewalls, VPN, and routing are not foreign words to you

• You are keen on Linux and scripting

• You enjoy working on hardware yourself and prefer building servers rather than just unpacking them

• You enjoy talking to customers on the phone and explaining technology in a way that is understood at the other end

• You enjoy learning, tackle things yourself, and persevere even when things get tough

• Challenges do not put you off, but rather excite you

• You like to take responsibility and make decisions, rather than waiting for instructions

• Team spirit is not a buzzword for you, but everyday life

• You are honest and say what you think

• A valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel, because our customers are not just around the corner and you will be on-site regularly
