System Engineer (m/f/d)

Full Time Entry Level

Job description

Introduction

At Impower GmbH, we are developing the future of real estate management – simple, fast, and digital. Over 100,000 people manage more than 12 million apartments with processes that are often still manual, complex, and time-consuming. We support property management companies in digitizing these workflows step by step – with clear structures, modern software, and real practical benefits.

For our company to continue growing, it needs a modern, secure, and scalable internal IT. As a System Engineer, you will build our internal IT function from the ground up and develop a modern, secure, and automated IT landscape that supports the long-term growth of our company.

In this role, you will be responsible for our workplace and identity infrastructure, design our SaaS landscape, and drive automation and modern security standards. You will work closely with the CTO and create the technological foundation for efficient internal processes and an excellent employee experience.

Your Tasks

  • Building and further developing our internal IT landscape with a focus on workplace, identity management, security, and SaaS systems

  • Responsibility for the entire employee lifecycle – from IT onboarding and offboarding to the provision of devices, accounts, access rights, and support

  • Building and operating a modern Mobile Device Management system, including endpoint security, patch management, and asset lifecycle

  • Further developing our identity and security platform (SSO, SCIM, MFA, authorization management) and implementing modern security standards and IT policies

  • Developing automations and integrations between internal systems to reduce manual processes and utilizing modern AI-supported workflows to increase efficiency

  • Responsibility for the selection, consolidation, and further development of our SaaS landscape, including license, vendor, and lifecycle management

  • Contributing to compliance and audit initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001 and GDPR) and ensuring a secure, scalable, and future-proof internal IT infrastructure

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience as a System Engineer, IT Administrator, or in a comparable role with responsibility for internal IT systems

  • Very good knowledge in the areas of workplace management, identity & access management, and modern SaaS and cloud environments

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (e.g., Jamf), endpoint security, and the administration of Apple or modern workplace environments

  • Experience in building automations and integrations between IT systems and an interest in using AI-supported workflows effectively

  • Good knowledge of modern IT security concepts such as Zero Trust, MFA, Least Privilege, and Security Policies, as well as ideally initial exposure to ISO 27001 or GDPR

  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work, with a passion for continuously improving processes

  • Very good German and English skills for collaboration in an international team

Nice to have

  • Experience with Google Workspace, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or comparable identity platforms

  • Knowledge in the area of Infrastructure as Code, scripting, or workflow automation

  • Experience with iPaaS solutions or low-code/no-code platforms

  • Experience in building internal IT structures in a scale-up or rapidly growing company

  • Interest in building a small Internal IT Engineering team in the future

Why Us?

  • The opportunity to help shape the internal IT of a rapidly growing PropTech scale-up from the ground up

  • Direct influence on workplace, security, automation, and the digital working environment of the entire company

  • Close collaboration with the CTO, as well as a high degree of creative freedom in technologies, processes, and tools

  • Modern work environment with free hardware choice (Mac or Windows)

  • Hybrid work model – work with the team in the Munich office up to three days a week and remotely flexibly

  • A diverse, motivated, and agile team with short decision-making processes

  • Personal development and advancement opportunities, as well as the prospect of expanding the internal IT function in the long term
