System Engineer (m/w/d) - Datacenter

We are not the classical IT service providers. We are Transition Engineers who know how to make critical infrastructure invisible.

You won't be working on routine tasks. You'll be working on business-critical systems where errors will show immediate effects. Aufgaben

• Betrieb & Überwachung: You are responsible for the reliable operation of data center infrastructure – Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE). Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Incident Management belong to your daily routine.
• Systemverwaltung: You administer and optimize Windows Server environments, manage Active Directory, and ensure secure and performant systems. You understand how permissions, policies, and security relate to each other.
• Datensicherung & Disaster Recovery: You work with Veeam Backup, securing critical systems and testing restore scenarios regularly. You know: Backups are only good if they also function.
• Virtualisierung & Infrastruktur: You support the operation of Proxmox VE environments, migrate systems, and optimize resources. You understand the requirements for high availability and know the limits.
• Transitions-Projekte: You accompany complex modernization and migration projects from a technical perspective. You conduct system tests, document processes, and contribute to ensuring that transitions run smoothly – without downtime.
• Zusammenarbeit & Wissenstransfer: You work closely with your team, share knowledge, and learn from experienced colleagues. You document your work and contribute to the team's knowledge building.

Qualifikation

Berufserfahrung:

2–5 years of practical experience in system administration or infrastructure management

Kernkompetenzen:

• Safe knowledge of Windows Server (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Good understanding of Active Directory (users, groups, policies, security)
• Practical experience with Microsoft 365 or Office 365
• Basic understanding of network and security concepts
• Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE, VMware, or Hyper-V)
• Knowledge in backup and recovery solutions (Veeam or similar)
