System Engineer - Electrical Engineer

Position Summary
As part of our client's NPI System Engineering team within the Global Supply Chain organisation, this role is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of products from development to full-scale production and launch. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for their assigned sub-systems, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to uphold the highest standards of design quality and manufacturability. This role also contributes to R&D initiatives and supports project launch activities through technical and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Design Transfer initiatives by applying Design for Excellence principles.
  
• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned systems and provide internal training as needed.
  
• Serve as the key interface between R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers, ensuring alignment across all stages of development.
  
• Conduct design reviews to ensure ease of assembly and high-yield performance, incorporating the use of assembly and test fixtures.
  
• Drive cost optimization by influencing system design during development and applying LEAN manufacturing principles.
  
• Ensure design decisions support future sustaining and maintenance activities.
  
• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and testing equipment to support industrialization.
  
• Maintain proper documentation aligned with Design and Manufacturing QMS requirements.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to establish and manage QMS-compliant workflows.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a product development environment.
  
• Proficient in Design for Excellence concepts.
  
• Experience with tools such as DOORS, JAMA, and SAP.
  
• Background in highly regulated industries preferred.
  
• Preferably holds experience or education in Electrical Engineering.
  
• Skilled in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) or Electrical CAD systems (e.g. Altium Designer).
