Job description
We are looking for an experienced developer as a System Engineer BI (m/w/d) for our location in Düsseldorf, Munich or Remote, who will work together with an experienced colleague to operate, develop and take over the knowledge of our analytics and planning systems. Our central platform is IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), which you will integrate into at our company.
In your role as BI Platform Engineer (m/w/d), you will ensure that our analytics and planning systems run stably, performantly and securely.
This means:
- You install, configure and operate our BI and planning systems on Windows- and Linux-servers.
- You take care of updates, patches and the security of the systems (e.g. authentication, certificates, encryption).
- You work closely with our BI Consultants when setting up and operating new solutions together.
- You analyze disturbances and performance problems, find sustainable solutions and document your adjustments.
- You support the setup and operation of cloud environments (e.g. in Azure) and bring in your ideas for automation and standardization.
Qualification
If you enjoy understanding, stabilizing and continuously improving technical platforms, you are an excellent fit for us.
What is particularly important to us:
- Experience in administering servers or applications (e.g. databases, BI/analytics systems, ERP, etc.).
- Good knowledge of Windows- or Linux-administration.
- Fundamental knowledge of SQL and working with databases.
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- First experience with scripts (e.g. PowerShell, Batch or Shell).
- High willingness to learn and interest in BI and planning systems; we will integrate you into IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) at our company.
- Very good German language skills (at least C1), good English language skills.
