System Engineer

The Ideal Candidate Antal International is recruiting for its client, a prestigious automotive company with a strong international presence, seeking a talented System Engineer to join its growing technology team in Bucharest. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of modern IT infrastructure supporting complex business operations across multiple countries. Job Description Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments Administer virtualization platforms and enterprise infrastructure solutions Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of services Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure services Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and implement corrective actions Participate in infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives Work closely with international IT teams and stakeholders Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 3+ years of experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux environments Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and related services Understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is an advantage Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Good communication skills in English What's Offered Dynamic and international working environment Exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure projects Career growth and continuous learning opportunities Competitive salary and attractive benefits package Long-term professional development within a stable organization Company Description Antal is the leader in EMEA & Asia Executive Search & Selection with a network of over 120 fully-staffed offices in more than 30 countries, recruiting talent in a range of industry sectors & skill functions.
