System Architect (F/H)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced developer who has a deep understanding of transportation networks and understands what drives individuals to use them. From high-speed trains, metro, monorails, and tramways to integrated systems, services, infrastructure, and solutions for signaling and digital mobility, we offer our clients the widest portfolio in the sector. Every day, more than 80,000 employees worldwide are opening up new solutions for greener and smarter mobility to connect cities, reduce carbon footprint, and replace cars.

Within our Villeurbanne site composed of over 800 employees, a specialized development center for designing and manufacturing electronic systems for on-board (control and monitoring, signaling) and land-based applications, we are developing new intelligent solutions allowing the exploitation of railway transportation networks.

Our production, innovation, IT, cybersecurity, electronics, and telecommunications departments build the intelligence of trains to come in order to meet the needs of more sustainable mobility.

We are looking for curious people with a innovative spirit who have a passion for reinventing mobility, making it smarter and more durable.

The embedded Ethernet network has the particularity of growing/shrinking according to our train coupling/detaching, with higher availability requirements than in classical IT; most of our trains are also connected to the ground via Wi-Fi and/or 4G/5G solutions.

The embedded Ethernet network is a fundamental technological brick in the domains of traction control, passenger information, video surveillance, signaling, internet on board, and constitutes the backbone of our train system architecture.

In the context of developing our future electronic platforms for trains, as a network and telecommunications architect, you will be responsible for proposing and specifying tomorrow's Ethernet network architectures.

You will also work on innovation topics related to Ethernet, such as 10-gigabit networks, TSN (Time Sensitive Network), virtualization, and hybridization of test bank Ethernet ...

MISSIONS

You have acquired solid knowledge in the field of Ethernet networks and associated protocols (IT network or embedded networks)

Ideally, you have knowledge of cybersecurity as well as the use of various network equipment (router/switch/firewall/modem).

A knowledge of wireless standards and protocols such as Wi-Fi and LTE/5G is also a plus.

You are a force for proposal, you like working in teams and networks within a multicultural environment. Your rigor, your ability to solve technical problems, and your decision-making skills will be your strengths for succeeding in your mission.
