System Architect

Together with our Partner from the insurance industry, we are looking for an experienced specialist to provide services as a System Architect. The project involves the development of a system supporting the property insurance area and the transformation of its architecture. SCOPE OF SERVICES: Designing and documenting a scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant architecture, and ensuring its consistency within the developed systems. Co-creating technology roadmaps, managing technical debt, and identifying and assessing architectural risks. Developing a system migration strategy from a monolithic architecture to a microservices architecture, using a private cloud. Developing technological standards, manufacturing processes, and DevOps culture, as well as implementing new technologies. Co-creating and programming changes in the system that supports processes related to property insurance. Conducting consultations, code reviews, mentoring, and architectural workshops. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and overseeing system architecture, including creating scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed architectures. Very good knowledge of Java and Spring, and practical knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices, including DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, and API Governance. Experience in conducting code reviews, mentoring, and architectural workshops, as well as in providing substantive support to development teams. Experience in co-creating technology roadmaps, assessing risks, and managing technical debt. Experience working with cloud, infrastructure automation, and end-to-end observability. Knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level and willingness to provide services from the territory of Poland. NICE TO HAVE: Experience working with Agentic SDLC and tools supporting AI-assisted development. Experience in designing and implementing Multi-cloud strategies. Advanced, practical knowledge of DDD. Awareness and experience in cloud cost optimization (Cloud Cost Management).
