System Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise storage systems and protocols (SAN/NAS) 
• Administer virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere) and manage VMs 
• Perform physical server maintenance, including hardware diagnostics and racking 
• Manage Windows and Linux servers, including package and service configuration 
• Support backup and recovery operations across physical and virtual environments 
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) 
• Monitor system performance and proactively address infrastructure issues 
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware and support coordination 
• Document system configurations, processes, and network topologies 
• Participate in on-call rotation and adhere to change management processes 

Requirements: 

Identity & Directory Services 

• Proficiency in administering Microsoft Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Organizational Unit (OU) structure, FSMO roles, and trust relationships 
• Experience managing DNS and DHCP server roles in Windows Server environments, including zone configuration, record management, and troubleshooting resolution issues 
• Familiarity with PKI and certificate lifecycle management, including internal Certificate Authority (ADCS), certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation 
• Experience integrating services with LDAP/Active Directory (e.g., authentication for third-party applications, RADIUS-based network access control, or SSO solutions) 

Microsoft 365 Administration 

• Experience administering Microsoft 365 tenant, including user provisioning, licensing management, and role-based access control via the M365 Admin Center 
• Proficiency in managing Exchange Online, including mailbox management, mail flow rules, anti-spam/anti-phishing policies, shared mailboxes, and distribution groups 
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and hybrid identity scenarios, including Azure AD Connect synchronization, Conditional Access policies, and MFA enforcement 
• Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features (Defender for Business, Purview basics, DLP policies) is a plus 
• Working knowledge of SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration for storage quota management and permissions governance 

Atlassian Suite Administration 

• Experience administering Jira (Software and/or Service Management), including project configuration, workflow customization, permission schemes, and user management 
• Ability to manage Confluence spaces, page permissions, and templates to support technical documentation and knowledge base maintenance 
• Familiarity with Bitbucket repository administration, including repository access control, branch permissions, and integration with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bamboo or Jenkins) 
• Experience managing Atlassian user directories, including LDAP/Active Directory integration for centralized authentication and group synchronization 
• Understanding of Atlassian Data Center or Cloud deployment models and licensing considerations is a plus 

Storage Administration: 

• Experience in maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade storage systems (e.g., NetApp, Lenovo), including SAN/NAS protocols (NFS, SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel). 
• Knowledge of storage provisioning, replication, and performance tuning. 

Physical Server Management: 

• Proficiency in maintaining physical servers, including hardware diagnostics, component replacement (e.g. hard drives, RAM etc.), cabling, and general upkeep (e.g. Firmware/BIOS/RAID/HBA/NIC updates) 
• Experience coordinating with support vendors and suppliers for hardware issues, parts, and warranty claims. 
• Familiarity with server racking, stacking, and power/cooling considerations within a data center environment. 
• Out-of-Band Management (OOBM - iLO, iDRAC or IPMI 

Virtualization Systems: 

• In-depth administrative experience with Virtualization Systems (e.g. VMware vSphere ESXi, vCenter Server), including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. 
• Ability to manage and provision virtual machines (VMs) across various operating systems. 

Operating Systems: 

• Windows server administration skills (various versions). 
• Linux server administration skills (Ubuntu/Debian preferred) - package management, service configuration, and command-line operations. 

Backup System Administration: 

• Experience in managing backup solutions for both physical servers and virtual machines (VinChin backup solutions is highly preferred). 
• Familiarity with various backup strategies (full, incremental, differential) and recovery procedures. 
• Regular backup restore testing. 

Scripting: 

• Ability to write scripts for basic system administration tasks and automation (PowerShell/Bash/Python, or similar). 
• Experience with scripting for integration between different systems, e.g., Bamboo and Active Directory. 

Miscellaneous: 

• Experience deploying and administering Wazuh (as SIEM platform), integrating with external systems, maintain and upgrade Wazuh components, manage index retention policies, and ensure platform availability 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues. 
• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures. 
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues (Zabbix, Prometheus+Grafana) 
• Understanding of IT security principles and best practices as they apply to servers, networks, and data centers. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders. 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for critical system support. 
• Adherence to change management processes and procedures.

• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortigate) - routing protocols, VLANs, ACLs, site-to-site VPNs and SSL VPNs
