System Administrator Linux (m/w/d) for Open Source Applications

Aufgaben

For our customers, we are a kind of outsourced data center. If you like Linux, networks, web applications, and automation, you're right here:

• Maintain with the conception, administration, and further development of new and existing customer environments including deployments on application servers
• You work efficiently and use tools like Ansible or SaltStack, to automate processes
• Support for system upgrades and application upgrades
• Setup and operation of hosting platforms primarily with Proxmox, KVM
• Administration of open-source components and applications

Qualifikation

• You work well with Linux and open source on servers: ssh is your most important tool - unless you use Ansible, Saltstack or similar ;-)
• You have a degree or training in the field of computer science, or a comparable degree or training as an application developer or equivalent extensive practical experience
• Installation, configuration, and administration of systems based on Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.) is your thing
• You have understanding and experience in the area of internet services (apache, nginx, postgresql, mysql, etc.)
• You automate processes with bash, perl, python, go
• You are interested in IT security and security technologies (firewalls, VPN, encryption, etc.)
• You like to play with web applications (e.g. Moodle) and don't shy away from looking behind the scenes and understanding how web applications actually work
• Languages used in the company and with customers are German, therefore fluent German is a mandatory requirement
