You will strengthen our highly motivated team of experts in the fight against cybersecurity threats. Together with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and Network Engineers, you will plan and operate our state-of-the-art defense platforms. These platforms are the backbone for protecting our hosting products and infrastructures – from classic DDoS mitigation through modern Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Zero-Trust strategies to our Content Delivery Network (CDN). We foster a culture where creative ideas, agile working, initiative, and co-creation are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Administration: Administration and troubleshooting of highly available, complex infrastructures – including participation in a shared on-call rotation.
• Platform Optimization: Further development and optimization of distributed DDoS defense platforms as well as associated analysis and visualization mechanisms.
• Threat & Trend Analysis: Monitoring of systems, analysis of security attacks, and active tracking of current industry and security trends.
• Tech Evaluation & Innovation: Evaluation of new technologies and products as well as development and implementation of new features for international setups.
• DevOps & Lifecycle: Support of our corporate goals through efficient operational architecture, active lifecycle management, and lean processes in an agile DevOps environment.
• CI/CD Automation: Conception, construction, and further development of CI/CD pipelines and supporting technical processes.

Qualifications

• Foundation: Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification or vocational training.
• Linux & Security Passion: Several years of experience in the administration of complex, distributed Linux systems as well as a strong interest in Cybersecurity and sound network knowledge.
• Reverse Proxy & WAF: Proven experience in the configuration and operation of Nginx as a Reverse Proxy or Web Application Firewall.
• Routing Expertise: Hands-on experience in the implementation of BGP, Flowspec, and Anycast routing on Linux systems and network routers.
• Automation Mindset: Passion for automation with tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Python to consistently eliminate manual, repetitive tasks.
• Analytical Acuity: Strong analytical skills for evaluating DDoS attacks, implementing effective countermeasures, and continuously improving our defense platforms.
• Tech Stack (Bonus): Initial experience with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, ClickHouse, or the ELK Stack is a plus.
• Open Source Spirit: You share our enthusiasm for Open Source technologies, especially Linux.
• Languages: Fluent English in spoken and written communication (German language skills are a plus).
