SW-Quality Engineer (all gender)
Job description
In the context of software quality, the employee supports the development and establishment of effective, Automotive SPICE compliant key performance indicators (KPIs) to transparently evaluate the progress of software development. The task is carried out in close cooperation with the software development departments, process responsible persons, and the quality organization.
Tasks
- Elaboration, definition, and establishment of KPIs along Automotive SPICE relevant processes (e.g. SWE.1–SWE.6, SUP.1, SUP.8 etc.)
- Analysis of existing development and quality data, derivation of meaningful metrics, and identification of optimization potentialities - Alignment of KPI definitions with the responsible development departments and their professional guidance during implementation - Automated extraction of relevant information from databases over existing REST APIs (Python scripts, data filtering systems, aggregation logic)
- Preparation and visualization of KPIs and data streams (e.g. in PowerBI), including setting up dashboards and reporting structures
- Evaluation of the results regarding process conformity, maturity level, and quality risks - Participation in the further development of the quality methodology, particularly in the context of Automotive SPICE and modern software engineering practices - Documentation and know-how transfer to internal stakeholders
Qualification
- Successfully completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or comparable qualification
- Very good knowledge of software quality assurance, ideally in automotive environments
- Funded experience with Automotive SPICE (assessment, interpretation, implementation) - - Very good Python knowledge, particularly in the context of data queries, REST API
- Connection and data processing
- Practical experiences in PowerBI: data modeling, dashboard design, KPI visualization - Understanding modern software development processes (CI/CD, version control, traceability)
- Safe appearance, structured working style, and excellent communication skills for coordination with internal departments
- Experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle sector - Knowledge of database structures (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience in introducing new metrics or quality processes - Understanding of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban)
