Grada Recruitment have partnered with a specialist land development consultancy to recruit a Surveyor or Survey Technician.
About the Company
This multidisciplinary consultancy delivers end-to-end land development projects across the South Island. With a growing Christchurch office and a tight-knit team of engineers, planners, and surveyors, they’re known for their agility, collaboration, and ability to move quickly on projects. The business is forward-thinking, investing in technology such as UAVs and drone surveying to enhance capability and efficiency.
About the Role
This role will see you working closely with the Survey Manager across both field and office functions. You’ll take ownership of survey tasks from data collection through to processing and deliverables, supporting a range of subdivision and land development projects. Projects are primarily residential greenfield subdivisions, with a smaller commercial component.

Duties
- Conduct fieldwork and data capture using Leica equipment
- Process survey data using 12d and LandOnline
- Support the Survey Manager in project delivery
- Contribute to UAV/drone survey initiatives
- Liaise with internal engineers, planners, and external stakeholders
- 12d and LandOnline experience essential
- Background in land development surveying
- Strong technical and field skills
- UAV interest or experience advantageous
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
