The tasks of a Surveyor consist, but are not limited to:

• To ensure that the appropriate parameters are inserted into the navigation software and hydroacoustic system software;
• Operate and maintain all survey equipment on board the ship;
• Prepare and keep updated the interconnection diagrams of cables that will be submitted to the Survey Coordinator for prior evaluation;
• Depending on the task, coordinate operations between ROV, vessel, and other units around;
• To be familiar with the technical requirements of each operation, seeking to reduce the risk of accidents/personal incidents and material damage in the performance of these tasks;
• Maintain preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and ensure that all are in good condition for use, as well as keep updated records of equipment maintenance and reports of preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Work together with ROV and other departments on board, assisting in maintenance related to survey equipment installed;
• Participate in planning and execution of mobilization and demobilization, ensuring that the equipment to be used meets contractual requirements, technical standards, and safety requirements, and copies of their certificates are included and will be archived on board;
• To know and maintain image distribution systems (ROV/Navipac/Sonar/HIPAP/Video Link);
• Follow along with the Survey Coordinator to track pending material requests and ensure that the inventory of spare parts and consumables on board is up-to-date;
• Maintain correct filling out of WRF/EFF/NCR/RDO/wwDPR originated by the survey department on board, understanding that these reports must be clear and detailed to provide all necessary information for technical support from land (in the case of wwDPR, only when relevant);

Requirements

Requirements:

• Techncial Course in Electronics or Technical Course in Construction/Roads or Electrical Engineering or Information Processing or Oceanography, Cartography or Geology or Marine Biology or Geography
  

Experience:

• Experience in the Survey area;

Knowledge:

• Navipac
• Sonar
• HIPAP
• Video Link
• Basic Cartography
• Basics of IT
• Risk Analysis;
• Environmental Awareness;

• Advanced English
